After You Apply

After you apply for a postgraduate programme at the Postgraduate College, University of Ibadan, there are a number of stages through which your application passes. We will keep you informed along the way.

Track Your Application

ADMISSIONS

Once you provide your Surname, First name, Middle name, Email address, and Phone Number. Select your nationality, enter the verification code provided, and submit. You will be sent your unique Postgraduate College, University of Ibadan User-ID (Application Number) and Password via your registered email address earlier provided during the application process. Keep a note of your User ID and password details as you will need these throughout your application process and study.

 

AFTER YOU APPLY

After you apply for a postgraduate programme at the University of Ibadan, there are a number of stages through which your application passes. We will keep you informed along the way. After you submit your postgraduate research programme application online, your application will be uploaded into our self-service system.

Applicants are to download and fill a transcript request form from their application portal, and send to their respective institutions for transcript request addressed to:

 

The Admissions Officer;

Postgraduate College;

University of Ibadan.

 

Or Electronically.

 

Applicants will be contacted through their email address supplied during the application process for a Test of Proficiency in English(TPE) examination details.

 

Successful indigenous candidates are to pay an acceptance fee of N30,200 and then visit the admission unit of the Postgraduate College for their physical clearance.

 

TRACK YOUR APPLICATION

Applicants can track updates in their application by clicking on ‘Print Documents’ and then select ‘Application Status’ to view status such as Eligibility, Referees Report, Recommendation, Admission Letter Ready, and so on…

 

If an error or clarification is required at any of the application stages, kindly contact the Information Officer, through the service line in the Contact Us page via the website or visit the Admissions unit of the Postgraduate College, University of Ibadan.

INFORMATION ABOUT ADMISSION PROCESS

Most communication from us will be by Email. Please check your Emails regularly as we may ask you for further information or documents. To continue receiving information from us, please make sure we have your current Email address in the self-service system. Always quote your User-ID (PGS DATA) when you contact us.


 

Test for Proficiency Examination

TEST FOR PROFICIENCY EXAMINATION (TPE)

Date, Time and Venue for TPE will be communicated via your Email and the portal at least one week before the schedule date for the exam.

Acceptance Fee

We'll email you the name and contact details of the admissions officer who is considering your application within three days of receiving your application. This is your main contact throughout the admissions process, until you register as a student with us. The admissions officer will contact you as soon as we have reached a decision.

Always quote your user ID when you contact us.

Clearance

If your application is successful you will be able to print your offer letter under the print menu on your portal. The department cannot make you an offer if your application is incomplete. If your offer is unconditional, there is nothing more that you need to do. If your offer is conditional, kindly send an Email to the admission officer as soon as possible.

Don’t worry if you don’t have your final certificate yet during the application process but you will be required to present the original copies during clearance process but you should upload copies of your documents available at the time of application.


We cannot make you an offer if your application is incomplete. Use your Application number and password to login to self-service to check for any further documents we may need. 

If your offer is unconditional, there is nothing more that you need to do.
